Primo Smoothie as a Pre-Race Breakfast Solution for GI Issues

We first started working with professional triathlete Rachel McBride a little over a year ago, not long after Field Work Nutrition came into existence.  When we first reached out to her via a mutual friend, she was skeptical of our product to say the least.  And to be fair, this was for very good reason.  

Rachel, like so many other Ironman athletes, has struggled with GI issues while racing.  This is not only something that can become an issue while racing, but plagues many endurance athletes, particularly runners, ALL THE TIME.  Being the proactive and studious athlete that she is, Rachel started to go to work on her issue and to figure out what were the causes, what foods exacerbated the problem and what seemed to help.

From there, it was a matter of experimentation, food elimination and reintroduction, and a lot of work.  We are happy to report that shortly after trying our Primo Smoothie, Rachel found that IT WORKED for her.  YAY!  Not only did it help her fueling and recovery, but it seemed to reduce her issues.

Actually, I think her exact words when asked how she like Primo were, "You mean your amazing powder of awesomeness?! Yes! I love it. Really impressed with all you guys have put in there. I’m basically eating it every day!"
